Uploading files on the web is easy using an FTP client and watching our video tutorial

There are two basic ways to upload file information on your website – by using a File Manager tool or by taking advantage of the FTP (using an FTP client or the integrated FTP feature of your web development tool or WYSWYG editor). While the File Manager tool is integrated into your Control Panel and offers greater convenience in working with files, it still offers some limitations such as the maximum number/size of files transferred at a time, defined by your host. In this sense, the File Transfer Protocol offers a much greater freedom in transferring your files/folders to a certain server destination.

If you are not familiar with the FTP upload procedure, you could take a look at this new video tutorial, illustrating for you all steps of the procedure, from opening your FTP client and establishing a connection with the FTP server of your host to performing the file transfer from your local PC to your web hosting account’s directory with the help of the drag-and-drop method. The upload files with FTP client video is using  the free, open source, cross-platform FileZilla FTP client as an example to demonstrate  in detail the upload operations. However, this example could be applied to almost any other popular FTP program on the web.
