How to host your domain name using your Control Panel (video included)

Achieving a noticeable web presence is only possible with a domain name registered for your site. To attach your newly registered domain to your website you will need to host it on a server, where it will be able to use the resources (like disk space, monthly traffic) needed for your website to work online. To do that you will need to place your domain in a web hosting account first. You can see how this is done by watching the host domain name video that has been added to the Video Tutorials section of the NTC Hosting Encyclopedia.

The new video will take you through all steps of the domain hosting procedure, using the domain management wizard of the NTC Hosting Control Panel as an example. See how to open the Hosted Domains section of your Control Panel and where to specify the domain you want to host. Then see how to check out the name servers (NS records) that you will need to set to your domain to make it work on this particular server. You will see that once the name server change takes effect globally, the domain will become fully functional and its DNS status will be marked with a green tick for your orientation. To get the option to place your domain on a server, you will need to have a web hosting plan at hand, pre-configured to provide all basic and supplementary services your website needs to be up and running online.
