Ensure your sites’ smooth performance by regularly checking your Load Statistics (a video tutorial)

Most of the important on-site operations such as payment/contact form processing, video/audio streaming, etc., use server-side scripting methods that require significant server resources, such as CPU and memory. To make sure the consumption of these resources goes fine and you do not exceed the pre-defined resource quota on your server you will need to regularly check the Load Statistics tool, provided by your host. Referring regularly to the Load stats for your web pages you will be able to keep track of the server load activity of your web hosting account and avoid any possible service interruptions.

You can learn how to work with the Load stats tool by watching this quick check Load Statistics video. See how to open the Load Statistics interface of your Control Panel and check out the various load values related to all hosts in your account – CPU time/usage, Execution Time, average memory, number of running processes, all of them displayed for each particular day of the month. You will be also shown how to check the hourly and yearly load statistics for your hosts.

Exploring the presented results you will be able to see which process is causing the greatest CPU or memory usage and take measures to resolve the problem on time and prevent your site from going offline.
