How to change the NS record of a domain or subdomain – a video tutorial

Just like us needing to change our home address from time to time, our site needs to be moved to a new server too. You may need to change your site’s location in two basic cases – when switching to a new host or when pointing your domain to an external web server. Whichever the case, you will need to edit the NS records of your domain. To see how you can do this, take a look at the video tutorial we have shot for you to illustrate the procedure step by step.

The change domain NS records video will show you how to open the Domain Manager of your web hosting Control Panel and make use of the ‘Edit Name Servers’ option. See how to specify your new primary and secondary name servers in the corresponding fields and then apply the new update. The DNS update will need up to 24 hours to be propagated online.

All users of the NTC Hosting services will be able to find this functionality in the Domain Manager section of their Control Panel. If you are using other hosting services, search for a change NS option in the domain or custom DNS records section of your Control Panel. In all cases, you should expect similar actions to be made, since the procedure includes a few universal steps. In case you are now in a situation where you need to move to a new host, but haven’t found a new solution so far, you may wish to consider the web hosting plans by NTC Hosting.
