Watch our new video on how to add a custom NS record to a domain or subdomain

Usually, two name servers (primary DNS/secondary DNS) set to your domain or subdomain are enough for the host to be served by the DNS network and to be resolving properly online. In some extreme situations, however, the first two name servers may happen to be non-functional, so you may wish to set another backup name server to secure your hosts resolution. To add a third name server to your host you will need to have this type of Custom DNS Records available as an option in your domain management account or web hosting Control Panel.

For users of the NTC Hosting services this operation is demonstrated step by step in a quick add custom NS record video. This movie will teach you how to access the Custom DNS Records section of your Control Panel and create the new NS record, by specifying its type, IP address and TTL.
