Adding an SRV record to a domain or subdomain – a video tutorial

Continuing our video series of edit DNS tutorials, we have just added a new movie, focused on a not very popular type of DNS settings – the SRV records. They are known for not being directly associated with the DNS server and for concerning separate domain services. You may need to set a custom SRV record to locate the service endpoint for a certain domain name in different new Internet protocols, or to specify port and other specific information for your domain, if offering VOIP services.

Whichever the case, you will need to go through one and the same Edit SRV records procedure that has been visualized for you in this quick how-to video tutorial. The add SRV record to domain video will take you through all steps of the procedure, from logging into the Custom DNS Records interface of your Control Panel to specifying the SRV settings such as the service type and service protocol, as well as the required values, including Priority, Weight, Port and TTL.
